This one is pretty self explanatory and pretty ridiculous.

The Crosby Show

This posted is dedicated to Sidney Crosby.

I watched these goals yesterday, on the highlights [I won't lie] but I didn't realize until today that in this mix was his 200th goal [in 396 games no less]. So here is the highlight for that:

I think that is pretty self-explanatory.

Another good one that I recently found:

This one isn't during a game, but I like it because it shows that he likes to have fun and also trains hard.

And this one is from the press conference after he carried the Olympic torch in Halifax:

It isn't really something he did. I just think it's pretty interesting and I know he is a number guy.

Congrats on your 200th goal Sid!! <3

at it again

So I have a couple more videos today. yay!

First up, my 'future husband' [a girl can dream, I know I'm not the only one dreaming haha]:

I'm not sure if I have HBO but I really hope I get to see this. Not only is Sid my favourite but Max Talbot is pretty hilarious too. I think it's a great idea for a documentary and a great way to show all that hockey players go through. And nice to see guys off the ice. Hey, didn't I say something about that last post?! haha

Second video for tonight, if you follow hockey at all you, you already know or have seen this one:

I've been a fan of Mark Recchi, since he played with the Habs in the early 90s. and even though he is with Boston, I still like him [he is an exception]. Congrats Rex on your 1500th career point!!

That's all for tonight.

blogging again?!

Yes, I'm going to try my hand at blogging again. I know this is a more public forum but I want to start writing again and I am getting tired of cluttering up my facebook. I also plan on posting videos and giving my opinion on them, agree or disagree with me, I just want to share! haha [FYI they will mostly be hockey videos or related to hockey. You were warned!]

Why not start a video with a cute little kid:

I don't really have an opinion on this one, I just think he is cute.

Number two for tonight [and the last for this post]:

In case you didn't know I am a huge Habs fan [get out now, if you don't like it]. Opinion on the video, I'm not saying I love Justin Bieber, I just thought this video was funny and cleaver and like I said I love the Habs! Mike Cammalleri is my favourite player and I love his diplomatic answer ["He's Canadian right? Yeah, there you go."] I'm not sure if every NHL team does videos like this but I always enjoy the Habs 'Get to know your Canadiens' videos, it gives the fans a chance to see the players are more than just what they are on the ice. [another warning: I'm sure I will be posting more Habs videos, so stay tuned]

I guess that is all for tonight, it feels good to be back!

The Road to the Fred Page Cup begins today!

So you may or may not know. But I am headed to Brockville with the Slammers!
Their bus left this morning(Monday) and I am heading up today, Tuesday (in an hour or so). I will be covering the games for the local paper and taking a bunch of pictures, the pics and the experience will also serve as a week of my parcticum. As you can imagine I am pretty pumped to have this opportunity as it is something I hope to do in the future.
I'm gonna try to keep up dates here, but sometimes I am not so good at that haha so please bare with me.
What a way to end my 3 years in Woodstock!!

Dear Playoff Hockey Fans again.

Dear Playoff Hockey Fans,

Yes, I'm writing you again so soon. It has been brought to my attention that you may not be able to accommodate your winter schedule to regularly attend regular season games (it truly is YOUR loss).
Yes, the playoffs are exciting, but I imagine becoming a playoff hockey fan would be the equivalent of putting in a "cold" goalie. You know, he sits on the bench sees the moves of the opponents but doesn't know what it's really like until he is playing. Being playoff hockey fan, you may have heard of a couple of the players but you don't really know them.
OK, maybe, just maybe you'll decide to be a more dedicated fan next year, but where were you THIS year?!?
And if you are in the rink for a playoff game make some NOISE for crying out loud, the boys want nothing more than to have the fans supporting them. Heck, if you're watching from home, yell at the TV. And don't forget to wear your team colours!!
That is all...for now.
Love,
Me

Dear Playoff Hockey Fans....

Dear Playoff Hockey Fans,

Though I enjoy the extra cheers in the rink, I'm sure the players do too, I can't help but wonder where you were during the regular season. They did have 50 (plus depending on the league) regular season games and you were no where to be found. The rinks were a lot less noisy and the music had to be turned way up to compensate (sometimes even causing a problem to those in attendance)...you were aware of the regular season, weren't you?! (If you weren't aware of the regular season you can stop reading here).
I'm sure the players would love to have our support all season long, when they have broke records or just had a general great year and even if they were losing. Though I'm sure they appreciate the 'bandwagon jumpers' (yes, you jumped on the bandwagon somewhere between the regular season and the playoffs) where were you say after christmas, or even towards the end of the season when they were in the hunt for the playoff spot that makes you love them soo much now?!
It's the same every year, so I shouldn't really be surprised, just annoyed. Enjoy the ride, I guess, those of us who have supported the team from the beginning are loving the ride and I guess it's nice to have you along as well. Maybe, next season we'll see you before the playoffs!!

Sincerely,
Me

Oh. I should say that I am a little guilty of doing it myself, however, I have no TV or Centre Ice package online and I do follow close enough to know some of what is going on and during the playoffs TV channels make the games more accessible online. However, I not saying I am right. But the local teams deserve support ALL season, not just during the playoffs!!

3 for 3

What have I got to lose, I'm making it 3 for 3.
I am in fact sick, sore throat thing this time. And it has been less than a month since I was last sick, how is that fair?!
Nothing interesting happend to me today, I just wanted to say that I was in fact sick..whether that is an excuse or not, i don't know. But I do know that I am going to bed to try and sleep it off. :(

well rested ...or crazy.

Maybe I'm sick...
So as you might have noticed, this is my second blog in as many days! Scary, I know. I'm the one doing it! haha Maybe it's because I haven't been required to take pictures for the last week or maybe it was just the fact that I did nothing for my March break. At any rate, in the past few days I have blogged (we know this), written a rather long article (might end up as just a blog) for no other reason than to write it and I made chilli. I know doesn't sound overly exciting or over whelming but I didn't get up until 4 (PM) yesterday and well managed to get that all done. And then today I edited my article again and actually made attempts at a work practicum...I'm starting to scare myself a little bit. Oh and to top it all off, only 11 weeks until the practicum starts then 5 short weeks until graduation (four weeks of the practicum and one week off). SCARY!!
Oh well, maybe it's just that I am getting a cold or something...second one time in about a month! fun!! <_<

yeah, I'm afraid whataya want from me...

Just don't give up I'm workin it out
Please don't give in, I won't let you down
It messed me up, need a second to breathe

-lyrics from Adam Lambert's song "Whataya want from me"

I can't seem to get it out of my head. Maybe because I keep asking myself "what it is that I truly want"...
I know what I want, but I guess it's the unknown road or path to get there that I am struggling with. It's always the 'unknown' that is difficult....where am I going? how do I get there?! once I'm there what do I do?! where will I stay?! what if I hate it?! what if I love it?! what if it doesn't work out.....UGH!! One day at a time I guess and some how it will allll work out...it has to, right?!

new layout!!

OK, so I know that the last layout was hard on the eyes and since it's now 2010, I thought why not change it up. So I hope you enjoy the new layout, I may change it still but I like it for now.
Other than that, I am still living life. School is going well, the semester is barely underway but shouldn't be to difficult, as long as I get my work done on time. Lots of assignments but nothing to difficult. I'm looking forward to taking loads of studio pics!

Twenty-Ten. Ten. '1-0.

...whatever it's calling itself, the new year is in full swing, well not full full swing, it's only day 7.

I haven't blogged in a long time, but I won't make this one alll about that.

Aside from my lack of blogging, school is going great! I did really good before the Christmas break and have started the 2nd term...I'm actually being a keener tonight and trying to get everything done that is due for next week, so I can have the weekend off...I guess by typing this, I am 'taking a break'. I should be doing the dishes as a break but I don't want to do them. haha.

Not much else to say so I best get back to work.
