So you may or may not know. But I am headed to Brockville with the Slammers!
Their bus left this morning(Monday) and I am heading up today, Tuesday (in an hour or so). I will be covering the games for the local paper and taking a bunch of pictures, the pics and the experience will also serve as a week of my parcticum. As you can imagine I am pretty pumped to have this opportunity as it is something I hope to do in the future.
I'm gonna try to keep up dates here, but sometimes I am not so good at that haha so please bare with me.
What a way to end my 3 years in Woodstock!!
GO SLAMMERS GO!!!

Dear Playoff Hockey Fans again.
Dear Playoff Hockey Fans,
Yes, I'm writing you again so soon. It has been brought to my attention that you may not be able to accommodate your winter schedule to regularly attend regular season games (it truly is YOUR loss).
Yes, the playoffs are exciting, but I imagine becoming a playoff hockey fan would be the equivalent of putting in a "cold" goalie. You know, he sits on the bench sees the moves of the opponents but doesn't know what it's really like until he is playing. Being playoff hockey fan, you may have heard of a couple of the players but you don't really know them.
OK, maybe, just maybe you'll decide to be a more dedicated fan next year, but where were you THIS year?!?
And if you are in the rink for a playoff game make some NOISE for crying out loud, the boys want nothing more than to have the fans supporting them. Heck, if you're watching from home, yell at the TV. And don't forget to wear your team colours!!
That is all...for now.
Love,
Me

Dear Playoff Hockey Fans....
Dear Playoff Hockey Fans,
Though I enjoy the extra cheers in the rink, I'm sure the players do too, I can't help but wonder where you were during the regular season. They did have 50 (plus depending on the league) regular season games and you were no where to be found. The rinks were a lot less noisy and the music had to be turned way up to compensate (sometimes even causing a problem to those in attendance)...you were aware of the regular season, weren't you?! (If you weren't aware of the regular season you can stop reading here).
I'm sure the players would love to have our support all season long, when they have broke records or just had a general great year and even if they were losing. Though I'm sure they appreciate the 'bandwagon jumpers' (yes, you jumped on the bandwagon somewhere between the regular season and the playoffs) where were you say after christmas, or even towards the end of the season when they were in the hunt for the playoff spot that makes you love them soo much now?!
It's the same every year, so I shouldn't really be surprised, just annoyed. Enjoy the ride, I guess, those of us who have supported the team from the beginning are loving the ride and I guess it's nice to have you along as well. Maybe, next season we'll see you before the playoffs!!
Sincerely,
Me
Oh. I should say that I am a little guilty of doing it myself, however, I have no TV or Centre Ice package online and I do follow close enough to know some of what is going on and during the playoffs TV channels make the games more accessible online. However, I not saying I am right. But the local teams deserve support ALL season, not just during the playoffs!!
